Frame price increase June 1st

The fine folks at the ISU Westlake (insurance broker) did their best but my rates continue to climb, and there is a major tubing supply disruption/problem on the horizon about 6 months out (more on that soon) – so starting June 1st, frame prices will increase:

-Hardtail/unsuspended frames $1750

-Full suspension frames $2850

As usual, current waitlisters/customers are locked into current pricing, no need to freak out. If you’ve been on the fence about getting a bike, and want to save a few bucks, get in touch with me before June.

Insurance shminshurance–thugs. One has to have it to satisfy one’s suppliers (?), but how many credible and successful suits have been brought against WW? I’m guessing that’s a big fat zero. Dish, Walt. Yet still a reasonable price in a bloated industry and civilization, even with a five year warranty. Tubing disruption–let’s hear it–maybe the self-assessed hoarding problem was a solution all along!

More on the tubing thing soon. Long story short: after 30 years, True Temper is getting out of the bike biz. Not the end of the world but it’s going to make things a little interesting, especially on the Supertherm front.

Yes, my hoarding will probably finally pay off. 🙂
