Introducing the Jefe Jr. – yes, I’m making a kids bike

Neighbors, friends, and customers have pestered me for years to do a kids bike. Without tooting my own horn too much, I’ve built a number of them (and tested them on my own kids) – and they’re a lot better than the offerings out there.

These will be more expensive than a Cleary, or a Spawn – $750 (unpainted/raw, add $150 for a powdercoat color of your choice), and that’s just for the frame. They are for kids who *love* to ride and want to earn their turns – XC/trail bikes, not little DH rigs so your kid can ride the lift and get wicked air. They are intended to allow fitting kids onto 24″ and then 26″ wheels as soon as they’re big enough – and also allowing the bike to grow a bit with the kid, so you can get at least a few years of riding in before handing off to the next child.

Note that they’re not custom. If you need a custom ride (for very small adults, or kids with unusual needs) I can certainly do that but these only come in stock geometry.

Here’s the skinny on the Jefe Jr. (available in 24″, 26″, and 27.5″)

-$750, frame only. Price includes a can of Spray.bike paint to let your kid go nuts, or you can do a custom powdercoat color for $150. Full build kits available as well, see my suggested build kit here.
