My/Your New Reality – complete builds are going to be VERY hard to pull off indefinitely. Also, frame price increase coming.

FYI, everyone:

-Parts are super hard to come by. That means brakes, tires, wheels, forks, and basically everything else. If you’re even a little bit picky about what you want to build up your new frame with, you will need to be in touch with me ASAP to start ordering parts. That means MONTHS IN ADVANCE, if you want to have any chance of actually getting parts in time to build your frame up.

-Super picky about colors? Too bad, you probably don’t have a choice about what color your suspension fork or your pedals or whatever are going to be. That’s just the reality. I will of course do my best to accommodate any requests, but I will not put hours of effort into tracking down neon orange bar ends or what have you. Pick your parts, live with black or silver.

-Shimano, you are dead to me. On my last order, half the “in stock” items failed to ship, and so many small parts shipped from so many different places that I actually lost money – AND didn’t get what I needed to assemble the bike. If you want Shimano parts, you are on your own. I cannot work with a company that does this bad of a job with inventory and logistics, because I can’t spend time and effort to end up losing money. If and when inventory levels seem back to normal, I will revisit this.

-Prices for raw material and powdercoating have skyrocketed. Hence, there will be a 10% price increase effective January 1st, 2021 – fair warning, and plenty of time to put in your order if you want a bike at current pricing. If you already have an order in/are on the waitlist, your price remains the same, of course.
